Who is the course suitable for?
Anyone looking to begin or continue working in the offshore renewable energy industry. Everyone is expected to hold a valid, in date GWO Manual Handling certificate which must be refreshed every 2 years by successfully completing a GWO Manual Handling Refresher course.
What is covered in the course?
The course covers rescue techniques and procedures which may need to be carried out in emergency situations which may involve lifting objects or personnel when either alone or working as part of a team. The training deals with manual handling situations in various environments and ensures learners are taught the importance of following procedure and regulations whilst working in these hazardous environments within the renewable energy industry. Our centre is fully equipped with real world training environments designed to make sure you are comfortable carrying out manual handling emergency procedures whilst in environments such as the renewable industry.
What assessments are there?
Delegates will complete a practical and written multiple choice assessments as part of the GWO Manual Handling
Are there any entry requirements?
You will need to complete a medical assessment form to screen any medical issues you may have
Must be 18 or over
Must have an appropriate level of English
