Food handlers have an ethical responsibility to safeguard food so that it does not cause illness or harm, and the impact of failing to do so could have a serious impact on the operational capability of a vessel. This course covers the importance of personal hygiene in ensuring a hygienic environment, high risk foods and how to prevent food contamination.
